About Keith Hawke

Keith Hawke is a New Zealander who has owned and managed Film and Video production companies for the past twenty years.  He has worked around the world and has spent many years in Asia. He has produced many TV series and Marketing Videos and he has extensive knowledge of film and television production.

Caterpillar  - ‘Getting More Done’

This film was awarded to Hawke Films in competition with over 50 production companies in the USA.

The film was shot on location in Brazil, Kenya, Australia, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, Scotland, England, Japan and Hong Kong.

 

The Rebuilding of Hong Kong Bank HQ

Hawke Films was contracted over a 5-year period to document the design and construction of the most expensive building in the world. All the fabrication was carried out offshore and Hawke Films production managed filming in countries that included Japan, UK, Canada, US, Germany, and Italy amongst other.

 

Cathay Pacific - From Hong Kong to the World

Created, written and produced by Hawke Films.

This film was shot in 35mm on location in Sydney, Vancouver, London, Jakarta, Bangkok, Tokyo and HongKong.

Awards:

Best of Festival at BISFA UK.

 Best Cinematography and Best Editing.

Gold Camera Award at the Chicago Film Festival.

Produced in their languages for the Bhutanese, Kayan and Chin refugee communities in NZ.

 

Asian Business Report -Television series

Created, funded and produced this first-ever regional television series and involved establishing an Asia-wide network of production units in most major cities.

A series of 26 episodes were produced which sold to television in Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, USA and Japan.

 

Rice Mice

Hawke Films created and produced 50 episodes of this first-ever English language children’s TV series that gave Malaysian kids a forum to speak for themselves.

This fast-moving programme was shot on locations throughout Malaysia

 

Cataract Eye Surgery - Kuala Lumpur

Co-ordinated multi-camera coverage of international surgeons demonstrating new cataract surgery techniques. This required multi microwave links for two-way picture & sound broadcast to an audience of 500 about 10kms away.

 

Inner City Heritage Restoration

The productions of a DVD to promote the construction project and to help reposition the branding of Penang from sea and sand to heritage tourism.
