I use high-speed data transfer to get your files to you as quickly as possible or we can send a portable hard drive. Distance need not be a factor in your location decision.

 

Who am I?

I am a producer and director and have had the pleasure of owning and operating production companies in Asia and New Zealand for about 25 years. I am currently producing corporate videos, TV series and documentaries.


I have worked to a high level as a producer, director, scriptwriter and cameraman. I am accustomed to working in an international and multinational environment.

Production & Direction of Corporate Films & Videos.

Cathay Pacific. ‘From Hong Kong to the World.’
This film won the Best of Festival, Best Cinematography and Best Editing, at BISFA in the UK. It was awarded the Gold Camera Award at the Chicago Film festival.

Caterpillar. ‘Getting More Done’.
The film was awarded to Hawke Films in competition with over 50 production companies in the USA. The film was shot on location in Brazil, Kenya, Australia, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, Scotland, England, Japan and Hong Kong.

Rebuilding of Hong Kong Bank HQ.
Hawke Films was contracted over a 5-year period to document the design and building of the most expensive building in the world. All construction was carried out offshore and we production managed filming in countries such as Japan, UK, Canada, US, Germany, Italy and several others.

 

Creating & Producing TV series:

‘Asian Business Report.’
We set up an Asiawide network of production units in most major Asian cities. Produced 26 episodes of the series, which sold to television worldwide.

‘Rice Mice.’
We created the concept and produced this 50 episode TV series. This involved setting up a studio, postproduction facilities and three fully equipped filming crews.

 

Directing and Filming original productions.

‘Hohepa the Opera.’
I was cameraman and co-producer/director documenting the creation of this ground-breaking opera.

‘Dancing with the Tsar.’
I produced and filmed this behind the scenes feature documentary on the making of the ballet.

 

Event Co-Ordination.

Hongkong Bank Grand Opening Performances.
Hawke Films co-ordinated all technical facilities for simultaneous broadcast of two pop concerts and the official opening celebrations using three complete Outside Broadcast Units, micro wave and fibre optic links, English and Cantonese commentaries and a huge lighting rig. A staff of over 300 was employed for the event.

Motorola Asia
We co-ordinated the Asian downlinks for Motorola. This involved co-ordinating satellite downlinks, setting up microwave links and projection to audiences of up to 5,000 employees. The links were set up in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Beijing.

Singapore & Brussels Stock Exchange Live Opening Ceremony.
We set up a two-way live panel discussion between the MP’s and Stock exchange executives in each country using Outside Broadcast Units and microwave links.
